You may renew materials online by logging into your account or phone the library 613-623-2279
To log in: Your user ID is your 6 digit library card number; the default password is your last name (it is case sensitive, with the first letter capitalized). We recommend you change your password after you logged into your account the first time.
After you have logged into your library account - you can reserve items, browse your current loans and view your loan history. You can also create a favourites list.
Your library card and PIN (password) are also required to access many of the resources available in our Virtual Library.
This is where you can sign up for free streaming services (Kanopy and Hoopla) as well as access thousands of electronic resources such as eBooks, eAudio Books and more than 4400 digital magazines!
You may want to check out Novelist. This database is integrated with our catalogue but also accessible as a standalone and is a fantastic resource to help you find your next great read. Novelist also features a live chat with a resource librarian. Book Chat is available Monday - Saturday 1pm - 9pm. You can also leave an email inquiry during times a librarian is unavailable.

Did you know: you can manage your reserves by suspending a reserved title. This is a particularly nice feature if you have too much on the go or will be headed out of town for a bit. You can resume the reserve when you're ready and you won't have been bumped to the bottom of the list!
Note: Library cards expire on an annual basis. Please stop by the library to verify your contact information using a current piece of photo ID. You can also request an online renewal. |
Since the start of the pandemic, the library has offered a generous grace period on overdue fines.
Email reminders are automatically sent out prior to items coming due and at various intervals ( 7 and 10 days overdue) as a reminder to please bring materials back so others can enjoy. Items more than 2 weeks late are subject to the following late fees: Adult materials 20c/day
