FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS WHILE THE LIBRARY IS CLOSED
When will the library reopen? Stage 2 of the province’s reopening allows a little broader access to library services. We are excited to welcome you back inside our space, but not quite yet. We are working to complete the required safety precautions prior to opening our doors a little more. For now, we will be expanding access to our Curbside Service with more appointment days and Curbside Printing faxing services. We had a great kickoff party for our Summer Reading Club thanks to Valley Heritage Radio and Dominos Pizza. We look forward to start circulating our book and activity bundles beginning July 2nd. You can still register here for TDSRC
Can I get books, magazines and DVDs from the library? Yes! We've been offering curbside service since the end of May. Reserve your requests online. When they're ready you'll receive notification with a link to create a pickup appointment. More details here.
I need a document printed. We can help with small batch printing. Simply complete this form and we will prepare it for Curbside Pick-up.
I want to access eResources, but I don't have a library card. Send us an email and we will set up an eAccess card for you within a few hours.
My library card won't work. This is likely because your card has expired. Send us an emailand we will renew it.
What should I do with the items currently signed out on my card? We have been renewing materials signed out prior to the closure. Please return these items by JULY 24th so we can get a handle on our inventory. You can call the library if you need to confirm items currently out on your card.
Will I have fines on my card? No fines will be accumulated during this time :)
Is the book drop open? Yes. All items are quarantined upon return and there is a corresponding 72 hour grace period so no fines will accumulate.
Can my community group still use the room booking? Sorry, the entire building is closed until further notice.
I had a post secondary exam booked, now what? All institutions have cancelled exams at the library. Please contact your college or university for further information/direction.
Will I get a refund on my ticket(s) to the cancelled May 1st Stephen Fearing Concert and April 27th Bob McDonald presentation? Hold onto your tickets for a refund when we reopen. If you purchased online tickets, we are working with our vendor for an electronic refund through Brown Paper Tickets. Thanks for your patience.
Where's the best place to access the Internet? We have boosted our WiFi bandwidth and signal strength to the library parking lot. It is an open network and access is available 24/7. Please mind physical distancing.
