FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  1. Is the library open for browsing? Yes!  Stop by to browse, use the computers, shop the book sale, visit the Popup Art Exhibit and more.  If you need assistance with any of our digital resources, need items printed or would like to access home delivery services, please call the library  during regular business hours.
  2. I need a document printed. We offer printing, copying, scanning and printing services during regular hours - or simply complete this form and we will prepare it for you.
  3. I want to access eResources, but I don't have a library card.  Easy peasy! Just fill out the form here.
  4. My library card won't work. This is likely because your card has expired.  Call during regular business hours (613-623-2279) or complete our on-line renewal form.
  5. Is the book drop open?  Yes and we continue to offer a grace period of a week on overdue items.
  6. Can my community group use the room booking?  Yes, just give us a call to check availability. 613-623-2279
  7. I have a post secondary exam that I need proctored, can you help? Consult your school to ensure they are allowing off-site proctoring then call the library to schedule your exam time with the Head Librarian. 
  8. Where's the best place to access the Internet? Come in while we're open for free, unlimited WiFi access. We have also boosted our WiFi bandwidth and signal strength to the library parking lot. It is an open network and access is available 24/7.  
  9. Is the library accepting book donations? We are accepting book donations, but are limiting what we can accept. Please no more than 10 books at a time and meeting the following criteria:
  • Published in the last 6 years (since 2017)
  • In excellent condition (no need of repair, no highlighting etc.)
  • No text books
  • No magazines
Donations are assessed and then either added to the collection (as new or as replacement for an existing copy) or added to the Book Sale, the proceeds of which are used to purchase new materials.
